Real ID NJ: Here is every NJ MVC location taking appointments (2024)

As the state government continues to roll out Real ID NJ, a more secure version of a traditional driver's license, the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission announced a list of 23agencies throughout the state where residents can obtain it.

Residents now have a wider selection of agencies to get the Real ID, as there were only six in September 2019 at the beginning of the rollout, although it is still by appointment only.

Real IDs are required by Oct. 1, 2021.

Applicants can go to realidnj.comand enter their zip code to see which available agency is closest to them and make an appointment.
