They did not work for me, and I don’t know why. They just came out gummy and hard. What did I do wrong?

Hi Marsha,
It sounds like you might have used processed cheese slices – they do not bake well at all!

Bump it up a notch – lay on a thin slice of raw jalapeno or other pepper and sprinkle with bacon bits before baking.

Hi Gerri
What Australian cheese do you find best to use making these?
I have found some brands just turn out rubbery and not crispy.Reply
Hi Chris,
I love sharp, mature cheddar – the more “real” the cheese, the better the chips will turn out. Avoid the processed (plastic) cheese and stick to the sliced mature tasty and cheddars – there are only about 3 brands in our Aussie supermarkets and they are all pretty great. I hope that helps!

Thank you so much! They are very tasty! Is there a limit in Keto as to how many you can have per day?

Hello Dee Ann,
Glad you like them, I like them too. Yes, there’s a limit depending on what you’re trying to achieve, follow the nutritional data in the recipe and check them against your macro allowances.
You can use our Macro Calculator to work that out if you like. The good news is they’re just about zero carbs.
