Product information - GRETSCH Renown Maple 2016 RN2-E604, Satin Tobacco Burst

Allround drums from Gretsch with defined sound!

The Gretsch Renown Maple 2016 RN2-E604 is an absolute all-round drum set with high-quality workmanship and a harmonious sound that captivates with warmth and dynamic brilliance. The 2016 version of the Renown Maple has got a fresh coat of paint and is suitable for truly every sound and style. 7-layer maple shells with precise 30° bearing edges in combination with the newly installed Gretsch 302' hoops, which are normally only used for Brooklyn and Broadkaster kits, deliver a finely tuned and solid sound.

Professional drums with all-round sound

The Gretsch Renown Maple is equipped with 7-ply maple shells. In combination with Gretsch's 302' hoops, which are now also installed on the Renown sets, and the finely crafted 30° bearing edges, these produce a frequency mix with fine overtones and plenty of bass. The Gretsch Renown Maple can be used in every conceivable style. The versatile drums captivate with attack, projection, clarity and fine response. In the studio as well as in live use it opens up completely new ways and delivers exactly the sound that is needed. The 2016 models come with new, fresh finishes and many small improvements.

Quality hardware promises longevity

In order to guarantee an even better result in the free resonance of the Renwon shells, the Gretsch GTS suspension was further optimised. The system is lighter in a new transparent design. The suspension is connected to the tom at four points and thus provides the necessary stability with optimal vibration and resonance at the same time. The 302' Hoops from Gretsch are normally only used for the Broolyn and Broadkaster series. They produce the focused sound known from cast iron hoops, but are slightly lighter, allowing the drum to vibrate more resonantly for more projection and clarity. High-quality Remo USA heads are factory fitted so that nothing stands in the way of the full sound experience.

The 2016 Renown Maple series from Gretsch is on its way to becoming a modern classic with many appealing new finishes and lots of detailed innovations. The extremely fair price makes it possible to purchase a versatile and equally professional instrument even for limited budgets.
